High-Style Digs for The Clinic

The recently opened Sandals Royal Barbados debuted several best-in-class features including the JGA-designed Beach House Resort Shop. The new, curated retail brand brings together local food, spirits and lifestyle products of the particular market that the Beach House is located in (think Barbados and Jamaica vs. St. Lucia and the Virgin Islands), paired with design accents, materials, etc. reflecting the nature and culture of the island as well. Sandals Resorts' travelers will get to delight in both a sense of continuity and promise with the Beach House brand, and also in sense of local and unexpected as each resort's Beach House shop will be curated and "designed with local in mind."
Empowering Diamond Buyers
This past fall, Shinola opened its JGA-designed store in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood following the success of its Bucktown area store in the Windy City. Shoppers are immersed in the neighborhood street's vibe through the use of design elements such as brick, iron and steel, a glass block, etc., as they're all consistent with the surrounding area's character and materials. The exposed architectural features from the existing building celebrate the found and the intentional that both complement and at times contrast each other.
